Dear Parents and Guardians of Elementary Students:
 
In an effort to ensure a smooth and efficient opening of the 2010-2011 school year, the South Pasadena elementary schools will be holding our annual “Summer Round-Up” on August 17, 18 and 19, 2010. For those of you that have participated in our annual round up before, you know that there are many district forms that must be read. District-wide we have used more than 45,000 pieces of paper each fall to communicate all necessary information to you!
 
Again this year: In order to save paper we ask you to view all of the registration documents by clicking the links below and sign a "District Acknowledgment Form" to verify that you have read the documents.
 
The first link is for a "District Acknowledgment Form" for you to sign and confirm that you have opened and read all the registration documents. (You may have received a copy of this form via backpack mail the last week of school)  We ask that you sign and return this form during Round-Up in August.
 
For those of you without computer access, the packet of information will be available on or after August 17 in your school office and during Round-Up. Extra District Acknowledgment Forms will also be available for you to sign.
 
To be prepared for Round up you should:
1. Read the on line Registration Documents Below
2. Print and Sign the "District Acknowledgment Form"
3. Drop by your school office on or after August 17 to pick up your personalized round up packet.*
4. Check the Round up dates and times below.
5. The links below will be valid as of JULY 12, 2010. Do not print/download them until them, as they have not yet been updated.

The following documents will also be given to you at round up but we have included them here for you viewing.
• Student Accident & Health Insurance Brochure (provided in your Round Up Packet - not available online)
• Emergency/Information Card (provided in your Round Up Packet - not available online)

There still will be some site-specific forms and information in a packet that you will need for Round Up. These packets will be available on Tuesday August 17 at your school office. The Round Up schedule for all three schools is as follows:
 
Round Up Dates and Times**:
Please attend Round Up at your school of residence, unless instructed to do otherwise:
Tuesday, August 17 (students with last names A-I)
Wednesday, August 18 (students with last names J-R)
Thursday, August 19 (students with last names S-Z)
 
**Registration times for each elementary site may vary.  Check your elementary school's individual website for more information and the exact registration times for your child.
 
New this year: At Round-Up you will need to re-verify your address only if you have moved within South Pasadena, and you are residing at a South Pasadena address different than the address of record, as indicated on your Student Demographic Information Sheet (provided in your Round-Up Packet). Below you will find the three categories of acceptable forms for residency verification. Please be sure to bring your most current proof of residency from each category.

*If you will not be available to report to the school on any of the dates listed above, please contact your elementary school office after August 17 to let them know when you will be back in town, and to schedule a time to come into the office, after August 19th, but prior to the start of school on August 30th, to complete your Round-Up paperwork.
 

**Residency Verification Documents for New Registrations, or verification of a new address within South Pasadena:
 
One of the documents from EACH category listed below is required to verify a new address within South Pasadena, or if you are registering a student for the first time:
 
Category A
Deed of Trust
Mortgage Payment Receipt – dated within the past month
Rental/Lease Agreement, listing all names of occupants (including children), and the name, address, telephone number and signature of landlord/management company.
Property Tax Bill – dated within the past year
Closing Escrow Papers
 
Category B
Utility Bill (Example: Southern California Edison, The Gas Company, Water Bill) – dated within the past month
Time Warner Cable Bill – dated within the past month
Telephone/Cell Phone Bill – dated within the past month
 
Category C
Current Car Registration – dated within the past year
Car Insurance Statement – dated within the past 6 months to 1 year
Health Insurance Statement – dated within the past month
Bank Statement (or signed letter on bank letterhead with the South Pasadena address) – dated within the past month
Pay Stub showing current South Pasadena address – dated within the past month
Current Federal or State Tax Forms – dated within the past year
